Investment giant BNY Mellon has appointed Dan Gosselin chief executive officer of BNY Trust Company of Canada and head of its corporate trust business in Canada.
Gosselin is responsible for managing BNY Mellon’s corporate trust business in Canada for an extensive client base across the country and developing relationships with all relevant institutions operating in the Canadian capital markets.
Gosselin is based in Toronto and reports to Sonia Chaliha, head of client and business development for Latin America and Canada for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.
Prior to joining the company, Gosselin worked as a consultant for Mackie Research Capital as a special advisor to the president of the private client division. Before that, he provided private consultancy and advisory services and held a number of senior level wealth management, fund and asset management appointments. Gosselin has extensive capital markets experience, having run a variety of fixed income, sales, origination and trading functions as a managing director at both Merrill Lynch Canada and CIBC World Markets.
BNY Mellon Corporate Trust, through BNY Trust Company of Canada, provides global trust and agency services to Canadian issuers interested in tapping the global capital markets, as well as any issuer looking to issue in the Canadian domestic capital markets.
