Evelyn Huang brings global equity management experience to new position

Evelyn Huang has joined the investment team at Black Creek Investment Management Inc., the company said Wednesday.

Huang left Invesco Trimark Ltd. to join Richard Jenkins, Bill Kanko and Matias Galarce at Black Creek.

“Evelyn’s understanding of the global markets, Asian equities, and the Black Creek investment process makes her a perfect fit with our team,” says Jenkins, managing director of Black Creek.

“I worked with and mentored Evelyn at my previous company, and I look forward to the contributions she will make at Black Creek. She brings more than 13 years of financial experience to our team, the last five spent exclusively in global equity research and global portfolio management,” he adds.

Huang earned an MBA from INSEAD (European Institute of Business Administration) in France, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

She has extensive knowledge of various industries and has an in-depth understanding of cultural and social differences, which she acquired through her international education and work experience in China, Germany and Canada.

“We love her innate curiosity and independent thinking,” says Jenkins.

Founded by industry veteran Bill Kanko in 2004 and joined by his partner Richard Jenkins in 2008, Black Creek manages global and international equity mandates for private clients and institutions, as well as retail mutual funds (Hartford Global Leaders Fund, Hartford Global Balanced Fund and Hartford International Equity Fund) exclusively through Hartford Investments.
