The National Registration Database communications Web site will be launched in September, according to a Nova Scotia Securities Commission newsletter. The site will serve as the communication tool for regulators to use with the securities industry and the public. It will be updated on a regular basis and will contain key information to assist the industry in preparing to use the new system.

The NRD Project Team will promote awareness of the website through an e-mail notice to all firms and regular updates. It will ask all the organizations
involved in the project to create a hotlink from their own websites to the NRD-info website. And, it will be printing small bookmark-sized cards promoting the URL and the website.

“Our test results are encouraging and consistent with what we have seen to date. CSA testing is scheduled to start September 9.” Extensive security testing began in late August.
