(December 9) – A new day trading
firm, has set up shop in Montreal.
TradeFreedom Technologies Inc.,
The new firm is being launched by
Montreal-based ECE Electronic
Clearing Inc. The company has
two partners in the project. They
are All-Tech Direct Inc.,
a U.S. day trading firm, and the
Ferst Group Ltd., a Canadian
firm specializing in networking,
Internet, and telecommunications.
ECE Electronic Clearing is a
clearing firm based in Montreal.
It is a member of the Toronto
Stock Exchange, the Canadian
Investor Protection Fund, and
the Investment Dealers Association
of Canada. All-Tech is a New
Jersey-based day trading pioneer
whose Atlanta office was the
target of a shooting spree earlier
this year.
TradeFreedom will launch 70
trading stations in January,
adding Internet-based trading a
few weeks later. At first, trading
will be restricted to Nasdaq
stocks, with plans to expand to
stocks and options on Canadian
markets. The firm will host a
seminar at the Queen Elizabeth
Hotel in Montreal on December
15 to announce training sessions
scheduled for
January.
