The Mutual Fund Dealers Association has named chairmen and vice chairmen for each of its four regional councils.

The regional councils will provide regional representation for MFDA members, and will make up panels for disciplinary hearings. It’s expected that the first of these hearings will come later this year.

The Atlantic Regional Council will be headed by Wendi Bacon of Royal Mutual Funds Inc., with Remy Richard from Peak Investment Services Inc as vice chairman.

David Sharpe with PFSL Investments Canada Ltd. chairs the Ontario Regional Council, with CIBC Securities Inc.’s Dennis Gregoris as vice chairman. Gregoris also sits on the IDA’s Ontario district council.

The Prairie Regional Council has Terry Ford from Partners in Planning Financial Services Ltd. as chairman and Erwin Granson from CWB Canadian Western Financial Ltd. as vice chairman.

The chairwoman for the Pacific Regional Council is Dawn Daughton of ING Wealth Management Inc. Cheryl Shkurhan from Coast Capital Investments is vice chairwoman.
