(November 23 – 10:30 ET) – Brokers at Yorkton Securities Inc. are getting wireless access to client portfolios.

Spectra Securities Software launched a pilot project today with Yorkton, allowing Yorkton brokers to access client portfolios using personal digital assistants, such as Palm devices. Spectra Software allows brokers to synchronize their PDAs with their PCs to download client portfolios.

“We chose Yorkton to test Spectra’s mobile portfolio solution because of their commitment to leading edge technology,” says John McLeod, president and CEO of Spectra. “We are confident Spectra’s mobile portfolio will meet and exceed Yorkton’s toughest demands.”

“Our people are constantly on the move and they need to have access to their client’s information wherever they are and whenever they need it, and Spectra’s mobile portfolio solution gives our brokers the ability to do this,” says Rodney Sim, president of Yorkton Securities. “We want to be a leader in providing our advisors with mobile portfolio management.”
