Research and investment banking firm Westwind Partners Inc. has announced a couple of staff additions to its Toronto and London offices.

The firm has hired analyst Dean Wilkinson to cover REITs in its Toronto office, and institutional salesman David Sadler is joining the London office.

Wilkinson has over 14 years investment industry experience. He joins an office of 14 research analysts covering seven sectors. He was most recently chief operating officer with a mid-market REIT headquartered in Toronto focusing on owning and acquiring commercial properties in the mid-market sector of the real estate market. He has also held the positions of national sales manager, investment analyst and portfolio manager within the same firm.

Wilkinson has an economics degree from the University of Ottawa, and holds a Charter Director designation from The Directors College at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Sadler brings over 21 years of institutional sales experience to the role of director, institutional equity sales in the Westwind Partners London UK office. He was North American equity investments manager for a European family investment office. Previously, he was involved in institutional equity sales with a European investment banking firm. He has also worked on the institutional equity sales desk in the London office of a large U.S. based investment banking firm. He has a law degree from the University of Aberdeen and completed his postgraduate legal practice work at the University of Glasgow.
