NewRiver Canada Ltd. has announced an agreement to provide its Prospectus Express Canada service to discount brokerage TD Waterhouse Investor Services (Canada) Inc.

Through the agreement, TD Waterhouse becomes the first Canadian company to offer Prospectus Express, which makes mutual fund prospectuses immediately accessible to purchasers via electronic delivery.

The NewRiver service, which U.S. firms have adopted to provide enhanced e-services to millions of online investors, has been available in the United States since 1999.

“NewRiver is committed to improving our clients’ competitiveness by leveraging the Internet to enhance their service to customers,” said Mark Weseluck, managing director, NewRiver Canada. “Investors who opt for electronic communication are seeking immediacy and convenience, and Prospectus Express is uniquely designed to meet their needs.”

“Our goal with Prospectus Express is to enhance the client experience, and NewRiver has a track record of quality and performance.” said David Sypher, senior vice president, Direct Channels, TD Waterhouse Canada.

TD Waterhouse has added Prospectus Express as part of its eServices offering for investors who have consented to receive information electronically.

Through Prospectus Express, investors enjoy automatic access to a prospectus when viewing an electronic copy of their confirmation of each new mutual fund purchase. The document remains available at anytime via a secure Web site˜providing investors with important information about their fund investment without them having the need to store a multi-page, paper-based report.

The service offers a complete menu of mutual fund compliance information sourced directly from the SEDAR database. NewRiver’s data warehouse includes prospectuses, annual information forms, annual and interim reports, and amendments.
