(September 14) – TD Waterhouse
Group Inc. has appointed
Randall Miller as executive vice
president and chief marketing
officer and Karen Buck to the post
of senior vice president of TD
Waterhouse Investor Services
Hong Kong.
Miller has overall
responsibility for marketing the
firm which adopted the Waterhouse
brand worldwide earlier this year.
Buck will be responsible for
heading Waterhouse in Hong Kong,
which also becomes its base for
building its Asian operations.
The firm plans to expand into
Japan next.
Both appointees report to Frank
Petrilli, TD Waterhouse’s president
and chief operating officer, who
left the firm for the captaincy of
competitor E*Trade a couple of
months ago. Petrilli’s departure
lasted all of a couple of days
before he ws wooed back into the
fold.
Waterhouse has taken a beating
from investors recently. It is
currently down 40¢ today to
$18.80, a new all-time low from
its high of $39.80 earlier this
year.
