TD Bank Financial Group has signed a $720 million, multi-year agreement with IBM Global Services to manage the bank’s desktop and network technology infrastructure.

Under the seven-year agreement, IBM will provide the desktop and network related services for more than 40,000 personal computers within TD Bank Financial Group and over 1,200 TD Canada Trust Branches. These services include the implementation of a data network for rapid deployment of new financial services for the bank.

“we can build upon our success by focusing more on enhancing services, while we rely on IBM’s expertise to manage our infrastructure,” said John Davies, senior VP & CIO of enterprise technology solutions at TD Bank Financial Group. “IBM’s support will allow us to introduce new products and services for customers while realizing cost savings.”
