TD Canada Trust customers in Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut (Pacific Region) are seeing a brand new look in their branches this week.

The integration of the TD and Canada Trust branches in these regions was completed during the past weekend. On Tuesday, TD and Canada Trust branches in Alberta and Pacific Region opened for the first time as TD Canada Trust. Customers in these areas can now be served at any TD Canada Trust branch in the converted region.

“The launch of the new brand is one more step towards our commitment to build a better bank,” said Ed Clark, chairman and CEO, TD Canada Trust. “However, progress does not come without some inconvenience. We would like to thank customers in Alberta and Pacific Region for their patience and understanding during conversion weekend.”

“We also appreciate the efforts of our employees who have been working very hard to help us prepare for this event,” added Clark. “They have participated in extensive training programs so that they can make our customers feel as comfortable as possible with the new TD Canada Trust services and products.”

The TD Canada Trust retail branch conversion is expected to be complete by August 2001 and is being done in four waves across the country. Conversion in Atlantic Canada was completed at the end of March. Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec and northwestern Ontario will be converted the weekend of June 23. The remainder of Ontario is scheduled for the weekend of August 4.
