(June 20 – 17:00 ET) – TD Bank Financial Group today launched wireless banking and brokerage service for customers.
This marks the debut of wireless banking at TD Bank and the addition of wireless investing capabilities at TD Waterhouse Investor Services. The new service will allow clients to manage their investments and conduct their day-to-day banking using supported Mobile Browser-enabled PCS phones.
“We think wireless communication is where our customers are going, and we want to deliver to them any way, anywhere, anytime access to their brokerage and banking accounts,” John See, President and CEO, TD Waterhouse Investor Services (Canada) Inc., said in a press release. “Now customers can manage their financial services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the screen of a digital PCS phone.”
Customers can access the service by launching the browser on their wireless phone, then making a selection from the financial menu on the Mobile Browser home page. Currently available through the Bell Mobility network in Ontario and Quebec, it will expand across Canada as TD launches its wireless service with additional carriers.
The service is available for TD Bank and TD Waterhouse customers. It will be rolled out to Canada Trust customers following the conversion of the TD Bank and Canada Trust systems.
