(July 6 – 12:50 ET)- Charles Baillie, CEO and chairman of the board of directors of TD Bank Financial Group, today announced that W. Edmund Clark, Chairman and CEO, TD Canada Trust, is also appointed president and COO, TD Bank Financial Group.

“I am very pleased that in addition to his current role heading the retail banking operations, Ed will now oversee commercial banking as well as the day-to-day operations of areas in which TD takes an enterprise-wide view, including information technology, marketing, human resources, corporate communications and public affairs,” Baillie said in a press release. “Over the next few years, he will also take on additional responsibilities as the integration of Canada Trust is completed.”
