(November 22 – 18:40 ET) – Surrey Metro Savings Credit Union says that its wholly owned subsidiary, Metro Insurance Services Ltd., has entered into an agreement for the sale of its insurance agency assets and business to Westland Insurance Group Ltd. The transaction is scheduled to close on November 30.

The credit union says Metro Insurance Services Ltd. will continue to operate and place emphasis on its wealth management business.

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. is headquartered in Surrey, with 19 insurance outlets located mainly throughout the lower mainland.
