(October 4 – 18:00 ET) – The Canadian index operations of Standard & Poor’s will be making a few changes to the Toronto Stock Exchange indices after the close of business on Thursday, October 19.

Cambior Inc., Call-Net Enterprises Inc., Dylex Ltd. and Loewen Group Inc. will be removed from the TSE 300 composite index. Replacing them will be Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc., Stratos Global Corp., Com Dev International Ltd. and Hurricane Hydrocarbons Ltd. Class A shares.

Sun Life will also be added to the S&P Global 1200, S&P/TSE 60 and TSE 100 Indices replacing Geac Computer Corporation Ltd. Geac Computer Corporation Ltd. be added to the S&P/TSE Canadian SmallCap and TSE 200 Indices.
