(June 1 – 16:40 ET) – The North American Securities Administrators Association is announcing plans to hold its annual conference it Montreal this September.

The group, which includes state and provincial regulators, will meet from Sept. 17 to Sept. 19 for its 83rd annual conference. The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal is the venue.

The program includes a panel titled: How should functional regulation function? It will look at the dismantling of the four pillars in the U.S. There will be other panels looking at the “Main Street” investor, achieving uniformity in regulation across jurisdictions, and the challenges of online brokerage regulation and electronic markets.
