Schwab Institutional, a division of Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., has decided not to cancel its IMPACT 2001 conference for independent investment advisors, after being given strong encouragement from clients, exhibitors and sponsors to hold the event.

But the conference will be drastically modified. Originally planned for five days, it will now be held over three days, Oct. 9-11, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle.

The conference agenda is being modified to include high profile presenters who will address recent events, and comment on how they will affect the investment industry. Those registered for the conference will receive this week a revised agenda and reduced fee structure. Anyone currently registered
but choosing not to attend will receive a full refund.
