(June 27 – 10:30 ET) – French and English speaking customers of Royal Bank can now mind their “cybermoney” using new Makisoft Software applications on www.royalbank.com.

“With this software, self-employed workers and home consumers will no longer have to wait for their monthly statements,” Alain Dubois, vice president of sales, Makisoft, said in a press release. “They can simply download their bank or credit card statements via the Internet and either save or auto-reconcile them using Makisoft Accountant or Makisoft Personal Finance software.”

The offer includes a new French application, A mon compte, for the self- employed. It caters to small-office, home-office clients looking for help with their finances. The software manages general ledgers, invoicing and accounts receivables, time invoicing and customer follow-up, Internet business and promotion and Web site development.

Online banking customers can use the programs to produce all the reports necessary to manage personal or business finances, including payment tables. The software also offer calculators for RRSPs, investments, mortgages, pensions, annuities and loans.

“Makisoft’s multimedia applications are a fantastic tool for Canadians wanting to take charge of their personal and business finances,” said Martin Stevens, senior manager, product research and development, Royal Bank.

“Makisoft adds an exciting level of synchronization to Royal Bank’s online banking services. We are constantly reviewing and upgrading services for our 900,000 online customers and Makisoft will provide them with another innovative and flexible solution for their business and personal needs.”
