The Rotman Commerce program and the CFA Institute this week celebrated the program’s status as a new CFA Program Partner.

Rotman Commerce is jointly offered by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto.

The CFA Institute is the global association of more than 105,000 investment professionals and awards the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Peter Jarvis, executive director for Toronto CFA Society stated, “We are delighted to work with one of the premier business schools in North America as a CFA Program Partner. Throughout our long history, the Toronto CFA Society has worked closely with CFA Institute and universities such as the Rotman School of Management to advance investment professionals’ knowledge and skills.”

Rotman Commerce joins the distinguished 128 CFA Program Partner institutions around the world.

“We are extremely pleased to be recognized as one of the CFA Institute’s global educational partners,” said Professor Kenneth Corts, director of Rotman Commerce and associate dean, Undergraduate Education at the Rotman School.

Recognition as a CFA Program Partner signals to potential students, current students, and the marketplace that the university curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA exams.

CFA Institute partners with globally diverse, high profile institutions who cover a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge and who embrace the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct in their degree programs.

“The Rotman Commerce program is one of the oldest business programs in Ontario and has a strong history of producing leaders in finance. Partnering with CFA Institute signals to the marketplace that our students will continue to be well-prepared for careers in finance and management.” said Corts.
