(December 15 – 09:55 ET) – Rice Capital Management Plus Inc. of Winnipeg has acquired InteGrant Financial Services. InteGrant will be merged with Rice’s Brandon branch. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Grant McPhail, president of InteGrant, will become a senior vice-president of Rice, in charge of the Brandon branch and Rice’s southwestern Manitoba operations. McPhail, a CFP, CLU and CHFC, has been in the business for more than 20 years, and specializes in the retirement and group insurance areas. He is also chair of the Brandon Economic Development Board and on the board at the Wheatbelt Community Futures Development Corp.
Rice is also announcing that the Brandon branch, just prior to this acquisition, welcomed Bruce Gullett, another CFP, over from competitor ProFund. Rice says these developments position it as the premier financial services company in the Brandon marketplace.
