(February 9 – 09:40 ET) – Rampart Securities Inc. has appointed Gedd Cantwell as its new chairman of the board. Cantwell, formerly a broker with RBC Dominion Securities in Calgary, has been the branch manager of Rampart’s Calgary office and district manager for Rampart Securities in Alberta since February 1999. He has been a director of Rampart Securities since March, 1999.

Danny Dalla-Longa has been appointed a director of the company. He has been working with the Calgary branch of Rampart Securities since May of 2000. He has an extensive corporate finance background including business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, stock exchange listings, financings, structuring of tax motivated transactions and consulting to public companies.
