Danny Craig, has been elected the 59th president of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario. The election took place on October 24 during the 81st Annual Convention of the association held at the Sheraton Centre Hotel, in Toronto.

After attending Waterloo Lutheran University, Craig joined Ontario Hydro in 1970 and spent seven years working in the forestry division. In 1977, he resigned his position and started his own insurance brokerage in Walkerton, Ont.

Craig is presently a partner in the firm of Craig, McDonald, Reddon Insurance Brokers Ltd. with offices in Hanover, Walkerton, Mildmay and Durham.

Craig is a past president of the Grey Bruce Brokers Association and has served as an IBAO director since 1995. Since being elected to the Board of Directors, he has served on a number of committees including the Facility Association and presently serves as the Canadian Studies in Insurance Operations representative for the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada. Most recently, Craig served IBAO as chair of Administration and Finance.
