Desjardins Group General Insurance and Assurances générales des caisses Desjardins have announced a change in their company names, along with a new visual identity aimed at emphasizing their membership in Desjardins Group. The two companies will be changing their names to Desjardins General Insurance Group and Desjardins General Insurance respectively.
“By adopting these new corporate identities, we are demonstrating that we want to display the Desjardins name as well as the companies’ area of expertise. This will help to strengthen the Desjardins brand throughout Canada,” said Monique Leroux, president of Desjardins Financial Corp. and CEO of Desjardins General Insurance Group.
The two entities will be known in French as Desjardins Groupe d’assurances générales and Desjardins Assurances générales respectively.
Desjardins General Insurance Group has a portfolio of more than 1,550,000 in-force policies as well as assets amounting to $1.8 billion. It is one of the top 10 P&C insurers in Canada. It is the leader in direct P&C insurance in Quebec.
