(March 15) – The North American Securities Administrators Association has named a new executive director. It former communications director, Marc Beauchamp, is taking the post.
Beauchamp joined the NASAA as director of communications a couple of years ago after similar stints at both Nasdaq and the National Association of Securities Dealers and 20 years in journalism. He replaces Philip Feigin, former Colorado securities commissioner, who resigned from the NASAA last fall to return to Denver.
In his new role Beauchamp will run the NASAA’s Washington, DC office and will work with NASAA members, industry, consumers, and legislators.
NASAA president Bradley Skolnik, Indiana’s Securities Commissioner, said the NASAA is impressed with Beauchamp’s “strategic thinking, vision, communications skills, knowledge of the securities industry and state and federal regulation.”
