Andrée Corriveau, the CEO of the International Financial Centre of Montréal is extremely pleased that Montreal will host the international congress of the Union of Arab Banks.in the summer of 2003.

“The selection of Montreal as the venue for such a prestigious international conference confirms and consolidates this city’s positioning as a centre of international finance in Canada and in North America,” said Corriveau.

“This announcement is the result of the tremendous collaborative efforts exerted by the Government of Québec, the City of Montréal, and by this city’s banking and financial establishment,” she added.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance for the Government of Quebec, Pauline Marois, also expressed her satisfaction through the President of IFC Montreal.

“This positive development also owes much to the many initiatives conducted by the Government of Québec and aiming to make of the City of Montréal a prime location for the management of international financial services,” said Marois.
