Financial services firm McCarvill Corp. is adding Merrill Lynch Canada past and present to its board.

The firm is nominating Bill Packham and Bob Schultz to its board at its upcoming annual meeting, June 20 in Toronto.

Schultz was chief executive at Merrill Lynch Canada, Packham is currently vice chairman of the firm, and has been president and COO of the firm. McCarvill’s slate of directors has been expanded from five to seven members subsequent to the mailing of the proxy and information circular.

Packham serves on various industry boards and is currently vice chairman of the Investment Dealers Association, a member of its board and of its executive committee. He will assume the role of chairman of the IDA at the annual meeting to be held on June 18.

Packham is also a director of the University of Waterloo Foundation and also serves as Governor of Junior Achievement of Canada.

McCarvill is a financial services company providing growth capital to emerging to mid-market growth businesses on a portfolio basis.
