Jackie Au, a third year student from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, is the winner of Calgary-based Mawer Investment Management Ltd.’s second annual research report challenge.
As the winner, Au will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to spend a day with the Mawer research team.
The Mawer research report challenge is an annual contest for undergraduate business school students that require them to produce a “buy” research report on a publicly traded common stock from anywhere in the world that would be a good long-term investment for a well-informed investor.
Mawer, an independent, employee owned investment manager, has a staff of 84 and manages approximately $10.5 billion for a broad range of foundations and not-for-profit organizations, corporate pension plans, strategic alliances with other financial service companies, and private investors.
