Lindsey Morden Group Inc. has appointed Karen Murphy as president and CEO and a director of the company.
Murphy joined Lindsey Morden as its chief financial officer in July 2000. Before joining Lindsey Morden, she was vice president finance and corporate secretary of a large Canadian insurance company.
In another appointment, James Dowd has been named a director and chairman of the Board of Lindsey Morden. Dowd, a 30-year veteran in the insurance industry, has extensive international experience in insurance and reinsurance. Dowd is president and CEO of Fairfax Inc. with responsibility for identifying insurance and reinsurance acquisition candidates worldwide for Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. He is also vice chairman of Odyssey Re Holdings Corp.
Kenneth Polley has resigned as a director and chairman.
