The IDA reports that its Ontario District Council has approved the acquisition of BayStreetDirect Inc. by Lawrence & Co. Inc. The new company will be called Lawrence Capital Partners Inc.
Lawrence & Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Lawvest Company Ltd., is a Canadian investment firm founded in 1996 by Jack Lawrence, former CEO of Burns Fry Ltd., and deputy chairman of Nesbitt Burns Inc. It focuses on actively managing a portfolio of public and private companies.
The institute will work with Business Future Pathways on the guidelines
This is the highest monthly foreign investment in Canadian securities since March 2022
