(November 11 – 18:00 EST) – The
Assante All-Fund Index
indicates Canadian investors are
flocking to mutual funds in
higher-risk asset classes.
The trend has propelled the Latin
America and emerging markets
sub-index 3.8% higher over the
past week.

Investors’ affection for
technology issues allowed the
sector equity sub-index to report a
one-week gain of 3.7%, according
to the index.

The Asian and Pacific Rim
sub-index cracked the year-to-date
40% mark with a one-week advance
of 3.2%.

The precious metals and natural
resources sub-index is down by
6.9% over the past four weeks,
despite a rise in oil prices.

The Assante All-Fund Index and
its sub-components are averages of
all non-money market funds, each
weighted according to the fund’s
assets, calculated as of
Wednesday’s closing prices.
