The property and casualty insurance industry in Alberta pays an estimated $34 million annually for personal injury insurance claims that contain some form of fraud, according to an independent study commissioned by the Canadian Coalition Against Insurance Fraud.
This is just one of the many research findings, specific to Alberta, that will be unveiled by the authors of the study at a special presentation hosted by the Alberta Chapter of the CCAIF on February 14, 2002.
Professors Timothy Hynes and Barry Wright will highlight research results on the cost of personal injury insurance fraud in the province of Alberta.
