Industrial-Alliance Life Insurance Co. has been added to the TSE 100 today.
Industrial Alliance was officially listed on the TSE in February 2000. On September 19, it was added to the TSE 300 index. As the seventh largest life insurance company in Canada, the firm insures more than 1.5 million Canadians and has more than $14 billion in assets and funds under management.
“The listing of our stock on the TSE 100 acknowledges the continued success of Industrial Alliance’s results. This listing reflects the company’s importance among the Canadian companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and among life and health insurance companies in Canada,” said Yvon Charestpresident and CEO.
“Being part of the TSE 100 index will increase our profile among investors,” he added.
