(April 10 – 18: 25 ET) – The bond and money markets will join the equity markets in closing for Good Friday, the Investment Dealers Association announced today.

The Capital Markets Committee and Primary Dealer Money Market Committee have decided that the income markets will close for the statutory holiday on April 21.

All chartered banks will be closed too. The Toronto Bond Traders Association supports the IDA’s decision.

As for the equity market, the Good Friday holiday coincides with options expiration, so the last trading day for options will become Thursday April 20.
