(March 14 – 14:00 ET) – The Investment Dealers Association of Canada has announced that a hearing date has been set for the presentation, review and consideration of a settlement
agreement between the Ontario District Council of the Association and BMO NesbittBurns Inc., is in respect of the conduct of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc.

The hearing is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2000, at the
Standard Life Centre, 121 King Street West, 17th Floor, Boardroom B, Exchange Conference Centre, Toronto, Ontario. The hearing is open to the public except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.

If the Settlement Agreement is accepted by the Ontario District Council, the Association will
issue an bulletin setting out terms of settlement, including violation(s) committed, a summary of the agreed facts, and the discipline penalty imposed.
