The Pacific District Council of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada has imposed discipline penalties on Dwayne Strocen, a former registered rep at RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
Following a hearing held on Dec. 6 and 7, 2001, the Pacific District Council found that Strocen had effected two unauthorized trades in the account of a client.
Strocen receives a $15,000 fine, and must pay $10,000 towards the costs of the investigation and hearing.
He is also prohibited from acting in any registered capacity for six months, and in the capacities of manager, partner director or officer of a Member for 24 months.
As a condition of re-approval in any capacity Strocen must re-write and pass Conduct and Practices Handbook exam administered by the Canadian Securities Institute.
