The Investment Dealers Association is announcing a series of changes among its member firms.
The IDA has approved the amalgamation of Great Pacific Management Co. Ltd. and Courvie Securities Inc. effective October 1. The combined firm becomes Cartier Partners Securities Inc. It is under the same corporate umbrella as the Cartier funds, and several large financial planning firms.
Also, the IDA has approved the amalgamation of Northern Securities Inc. and Canada Invest Direct Inc. The firm will continue as Northern Securities, also effective October 1.
Finally, the IDA board has approved the transfer of First Canada Securities Corp. to inactive status until November 24. And it has approved the transfer of ABN AMRO Capital Markets Canada Ltd. to inactive status until October 31.
