Quebec City-based Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (TSX:IAG) Tuesday announced today an agreement with TELUS Health to offer its group insurance plan members a simple point-of-sale electronic claim submission service.
Scheduled to officially launch in Fall 2013, healthcare providers across Canada will have the ability to use TELUS Health’s eClaims web portal service to submit claims to Industrial Alliance on behalf of patients directly from their offices.
In an ongoing effort to provide superior service to its clients, Industrial Alliance is deploying the online eClaims service to reduce claims processing time and costs. To further increase efficiency, claim reimbursement from Industrial Alliance can be made to plan members or healthcare providers via electronic funds transfer.
