(January 7 – 10:45 ET) – Calgary’s Hi-Alta Capital Inc. has made another small acquisition by buying Eldon Ray Insurance & Real Estate (1989) Ltd. of Beaverlodge, Alta.

Eldon Ray offers a mix of agriculture, small business and personal insurance. Its principal, Dennis Graber, will stay with the firm. No price was disclosed on the deal, which is expected to close within the month.

The latest deal expands Hi-Alta’s Western Insurance Network to 28 rural communities in B.C., Albera and Saskatchewan. It is continuing to expand its offerings of financial products and services.
