(April 20 – 10:20 ET) – Hi-Alta Capital Inc. has announced financial results for the year ended December 31, 2000, the company’s fifth year of operation. The company owns and operates the Western Insurance Network Inc. which is now the largest general insurance brokerage in Western Canada.

In 2000, the Western Insurance Network experienced continued growth through acquisition, creased market share and introducing new products and services. In June, the Network began phasing in financial services, too. By the end of RRSP season, the Network took in more than $100 million.

Hi-Alta Capital’s plans for its next stage of growth and development include implementing another round of acquisitions for the Western Insurance Network, expanding insurance products through the acquisition of a managing general agent for life insurance and related products, expanding itsfinancial products and services, and integrating specialized investment services through partnership with a full-service brokerage.
