(March 6 – 17:45 ET) – Hi-Alta Capital Inc. has announceed the appointment of Gabor Jellinek and Philip L. Webster to its board of directors.The new directors represent private investment companies; both reside in Montreal.

Gabor Jellinek is President of G.J. Holdings Inc., a private investment company. From 1987 to 1999, he was Vice President and Officer of The Seagram Company Ltd. and, from 1991 to 1999, he was Chairman of Joseph E. Seagram & Sons Limited. Jellinek received an MBA degree from McGill University and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University, Budapest, Hungary. He is also a director of CanEnerco Limited, Corporation Normandin Capital, and Gulfstream Insurance (Ireland) Limited.

Philip Webster is President of Emster Holdings Inc., and of Imperial Windsor Group, both private investment companies. From 1984 to 1990 he was an adjunct professor at McGill University, School of Architecture, with Anderson Architects from 1986 to 1989. He holds an A.B. (HON) Degree from Princeton University and a Master of Architecture Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Webster is also a director of Kaoclay Resources Inc., Detroit Marine Terminals Inc., PBI Kinmont Inc. and R. Howard Webster
Foundation and the Zellers Family Foundation.

Hi-Alta Capital also announces the resignation of Ken Hughes from the board. Hughes was instrumental in the formation of Hi-Alta Capital and has been a director and officer of the company since its inception in 1996. He has resigned to pursue other interests.
