(September 21 – 10:15 ET) – A firm called OI Advisor.com Inc. says it is launching Canada’s first Internet-based, full service investment advisory service. The firm, registered as an investment counsel in Ontario, offers “comprehensive, personalized and objective advice with a holistic view towards enhancing customers’ financial wealth”.
The company says it uses an advice engine, based on a quantitative analysis of financial principals, to analyze customers’ personal financial data, deliver highly-personalized advice with specific product recommendations and help customers monitor and manage their investments and life cycle goals.
Through strategic alliances with discount brokerage firms, independent financial planners and directly through its Web site and through referrals from information portals, OI Advisor brings together personal information from all sources in one convenient and secure site. The site is monitored online on a round the clock basis and offers toll-free personal customer care to clients.
The site also offers click-throughs to Action Direct, BMO InvestorLine, eBond, eNorthern, HSBC InvestDirect, Investor’s Edge, Investnet, ScotiaDiscount, Sun Securities, and TD Waterhouse.
The firm charges no commissions. It offers two service options: Gold Service, which costs $20 per month; and Platinum Service, which costs $40 per month.
