The results are in for FP Canada’s October sitting of the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) exam.

The exam was written by 69 candidates, and the pass rate for first-timers was 82.5%, a release said.

In addition to passing the exam, candidates for QAFP certification must complete a series of educational requirements and have at least one year of qualifying work experience. They must also adhere to the professional standards developed by the FP Canada Standards Council.

QAFP certification launched in January 2020, and there were about 2,000 QAFP professionals in Canada as of Sept. 30, 2022, the release said.
