Éric Lauzon has left CI Assante Wealth Management, after almost 20 years with the firm, to join Raymond James Ltd. as senior vice-president, growth and development. He starts Sept. 2.
According to a media release issued Monday afternoon, Lauzon will head a recruitment effort out of the firm’s Montreal office.
“Eric brings a rare combination of deep industry knowledge, proven sales leadership and a powerful network of relationships,” said Scott Hudson, executive vice-president, head of wealth management, Private Client Group at Raymond James Ltd. in the release. “His appointment reflects our commitment to building a high-performance recruitment infrastructure that attracts top talent and reinforces our position as a leading independent firm in Canada.”
Lauzon had been vice-president of business development at CI Assante for more than 18 years. Prior to that, he served in leadership roles at National Bank Securities and AIC Mutual Funds.
Raymond James Ltd. has $91 billion in assets under management, according to the release. Its current roster of advisors includes 520 professionals in 169 locations.
