(April 4 – 12:10 ET) – Equisure Financial Network Inc. said that its wholly owned subsidiary, Barnabe & Saurette Insurance Brokers Ltd., has completed the acquisition of Gebler Agencies Ltd. and Morden and Carman Insurance Agency Ltd. of Carman, Manitoba.
These newly acquired brokerages will operate as part of Barnabe & Saurette. The purchase price for both brokerages was payable in cash. The principals, Gerry Gebler and Faye Harms, are remaining with the firms.
Equisure has also entered into an agreement to acquire Eric Hyatt Insurance Brokers of Callander, Ontario. The transaction is scheduled to close April 14, 2000. The purchase price is payable in cash. The principal, Eric Hyatt, is remaining with the firm as a producer. These new acquisitions will increase the Corporation’s annualized commission revenue by approximately $500,000.
