Montreal-based Equisoft has partnered with Canada Gives, an independent provider of donor-advised funds, to develop a new philanthropy centre, which includes a unique gift-giving planning tool for wealthy clients.

The philanthropy centre will exist as a configurable module on its WealthElements financial planning platform.

“This unique partnership will help advisors provide a new planning approach for major donors, enabling them to maximize the benefit of their large charitable gifts,” says Denise Castonguay, executive director and CEO of Canada Gives, in a statement.

“As philanthropy becomes increasingly important to aging clients, this new WealthElements module will help advisors begin the critical discussion around philanthropy and more easily create a legacy of charitable giving for their wealthy clients.”

Jonathan Georges, vice president of wealth management solutions at Equisoft, in a statement, adds: “In our efforts to continually evolve the WealthElements platform to better serve the needs of financial professionals, we felt the addition of functionality designed to facilitate the client-advisor discussions around charitable giving was a natural fit.”
