(October 2 – 12:15 ET) – EPOST, the world’s first electronic post office, today announced EPOST Express. EPOST Express enables any Canadian financial institution to offer EPOST mail presentment directly from their online banking Web site.
EPOST Express provides a flexible standard for mail presentment that can be employed by any financial institution in Canada. EPOST Express offers another mail delivery option to consumers who choose to receive and pay their bills online.
“Today, EPOST is announcing another innovative electronic mail delivery service to Canadians and EPOST Express marks a significant advancement in the electronic bill presentment and payment market,” said Peter Melanson, president and CEO of EPOST. “We have developed an open mail delivery platform so that financial institutions can take advantage of the EPOST service today to complete their electronic bill presentment and payment offering to consumers.”
Bank of Montreal, through BMO mbanx Direct, is the first financial institution in Canada to offer this new service to its clients. Expected to officially launch in November, BMO mbanx Direct clients will have the ability to use EPOST Express and begin receiving bills for electronic presentment within their BMO mbanx Direct on-line banking session.
“BMO mbanx Direct is giving people the power to manage their financial lives whenever, wherever and however they choose, and that is why we have moved quickly to offer EPOST bill presentment directly from our online banking Web site,” said Marnie Kinsley, executive vice president of BMO mbanx Direct.
EPOST Express allows financial institutions to offer customers a window to the EPOST service directly from their online banking Web site. Once customers open an Electronic Post Office Box with EPOST and elect to receive their bills electronically, they can have those bills presented at their financial institution web site via EPOST Express.
