Credential Direct has been named as the top online brokerage in Canada in terms of features and functionality for investors and traders.

Credential Direct finished number one in the Surviscor Q2 2006 Online Discount Brokerage Review, and also finished in first place in the Investor Profile category. The results show Credential Direct continues to achieve top rankings and competes with any offering on the market.

Earlier this year, Credential Direct launched a new look site with easier navigation and a number of other significant enhancements.

Credential Direct says it maintains consistently competitive pricing, and its $250 cap on commissions for web-based market orders. That’s something no other Canadian online broker offers, says the firm.

New Active Trader pricing, with commissions starting at $9.95, will launch this September.

Surviscor reviewed all Canadian discount brokerage firms, including bank-owned and independent firms, and evaluated them for their online features and functionality.
