Two high-profile industry experts, Colin Baldwin and Karen Noseworthy, have joined CoVirt Inc.’s (Canada) support team and have committed to working exclusively with MGAs using CoVirt’s Internet-based agency management system called VirtGate.
“Colin Baldwin has a unique expertise and body of knowledge related to segregated funds and MGAs. Karen Noseworthy has unique expertise in MGA life insurance business operations, broker compensation, and data conversions. Both are former heads of operations for a national account MGA — Colin was in the wealth management division and Karen in the insurance division. Since then Colin has set up many large MGAs on the FundSERV platform and Karen has worked with many large MGAs to move to the VirtGate platform,” said CoVirt president Tim Fitzpatrick.
“I was working with two MGAs on their seg fund operations that used VirtGate for life insurance. At first, I will admit I was skeptical, but when I learned more about VirtGate I realized that this system adds fantastic value to any MGA organization. Very quickly you see the difference that years of experience with a 100% Internet based system means. If that was not enough, the experience and vision of the principals at CoVirt really sold me,” said Baldwin
“I was first exposed to VirtGate in 2001 as vice president, operations at a large national MGA. We went from our first meeting with CoVirt into production in less than four months. I have been independent since 2003 and my clients so far have all been MGAs implementing new systems and streamlining administrative tasks to ensure they implement the available features as they make the switch to VirtGate. It has all been very rewarding and I can’t tell you how much VirtGate and the well earned under-promise and over-deliver reputation of the principals of CoVirt made each project successful,” added Noseworthy.
Both Baldwin and Noseworthy will supplement CoVirt’s “free and included” basic support services as well as being available for enhanced consulting support.
Fitzpatrick concluded: “It is a nice compliment when industry experts with so many choices available to them want to work with us and VirtGate.”
