(May 11 – 12:10) – Clarica announced today that it has established a 5-year, multi-million dollar marketing alliance with LifeServ, a U.S. based interactive technology company that provides information, advice and solutions to people facing significant life events. This comes as LifeServ prepares to launch its Canadian operations in July, and positions Clarica as the first Canadian company to partner with LifeServ, and the exclusive provider in the retail and group markets for life, health, financial planning, and savings and retirement products and services.
LifeServ’s one of a kind technology allows consumers going through various life experiences and events, such as marriage, home buying, and pregnancy, to interact with companies who can make those experiences easier. This approach combines easy-to-use desktop planning software with a life event customized Internet environment and a highly interactive, multi-media CD-ROM. “This connective technology builds and deepens customer relationships,” said Barry Triller, Clairica executive vice president, Canadian customers.
LifeServ’s unique platform has been put in place by a number of Fortune 100 companies in the United States. Through their Web sites, these companies have registered over 300,000 families in the last year, and expect to register more than 2 million families over the next 12 months. LifeServ will launch its Canadian operations later this year by integrating Canadian content into existing life event markets, and expects to have Canadian specific sites in both French and English operational in 2001.
