CIBC’s client Web site got the top score based on two separate studies conducted by Forrester Research Inc. in 2007.

Forrester evaluated the seven largest Canadian banks’ Web sites over the past two years. This year, rankings were expanded to a separate review of the top five U.S. banks in terms of assets.

When comparing the overall scores of the two studies, CIBC’s client Web site, www.cibc.com, topped the scoring as the “strongest overall site” in the Canadian review.

“U.S. bank Web sites did not score as well as Forrester had anticipated,” Brad Strothkamp wrote in his November 2007 report, entitled “2007 U.S. Bank Public Website Rankings.” CIBC excelled in many of the key assessment areas, including Web site navigation and presentation, and provided strong product content and tools, Strothkamp wrote in an April 2007 separate report.
